It was a cold day and people from all over the world were flying in to partake in the extremely popular Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K. Ok, not exactly, although this race is known to sell out fairly fast, people were flying in all over the world for the TCS NYC Marathon. Given there were so many athletes who support ArtiKen, it was a no-brainer to purchase airline tickets and head up to New York City. I had just acquired a GoPro and had zero intent to do much filming. However, with zero GoPro equipment, we decided to take this little GoPro many places and just let it run. After 10 months of holding on to this footage, I decided to actually hire someone who knew how to do something with it. I wasn't really sure who to bring on board but I definitely was hoping to hire someone who may have been an ArtiKen supporter and did some freelance work on the side. Shortly after, I stumbled across just that person on Instagram. Cameron Kinsey of MAXCAM Productions currently runs for Ohio University and was very familiar with ArtiKen.
Alright, I really hope you all enjoy some behind the scenes with the WCAP/ADP team on the day/s before the USATF 5K Championship. In this video, you will get to see the goofball that Paul Chelimo really is, the fun-spirited character of Shadrack Kipchirchir and the team in general just encompasses such a contagious comradery that makes them such a joy to be around.
