In 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered one of the most memorable speeches in U.S. history. A civil rights activist seeking equality, MLK Jr exited the stage on August 28th leaving behind many quotes that would be used forever ... and a dream.
"I still have a dream, a dream deeply rooted in the American dream – one day this nation will rise up and live up to its creed, "We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal."
On February 1, in commemoration of Black History Month, we will release a 'EQUALITY' bracelet to ensure the message continues to move forward.
For this bracelet, we showcase each character by alternating the colors to really bring focus to the message. In addition to bringing focus to the message, we want to invest in the youth that will shape the future and will put forth 10% of net profits to Black Girls Code from each EQUALITY bracelet sold.
Black Girls Code is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on providing technology education for African-American girls.
They will appear on www.ArtiKen.com on February 1.
